Cam grew up and played minor hockey in North Vancouver before starting a junior career with the Kelowna Rockets of the WHL. He spent five seasons with the Rockets including highlights as leading the team in scoring during the 2001/2002 season; helping his team win the WHL Championship in 2003 which sent them to the Memorial Cup that same year; and winning the Memorial Cup trophy in 2004. Cam was drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2002 and went on to play over 500 professional hockey games including games in the NHL with the St Louis Blues. He also spent time in the American Hockey League playing for NHL franchises such as the Pittsburgh Penguins, Phoenix Coyotes and the L.A. Kings. Cam spent two seasons in the German Elite League (DEL) and one season in the Danish Elite League. Back in North Vancouver since 2013 Cam is a sought-after on ice skills coach, the Head Coach for the North Shore Winter Clubs new Midget Elite Program as well as the Director of Hockey Operations at the Club.
