Position Summary:

We are presently seeking a mature, self-motivated, and confident candidate to join our dynamic accounting team on a full-time basis. The role entails providing member accounting services promptly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding interpersonal skills, along with the capacity to quickly grasp new concepts and adeptly solve problems. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a proactive and passionate professional to enhance their accounting and administrative abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide accounting services to Members, including Accounts Payable, Member Billings, Statements, and inquiries, while also managing our Online Booking System.
  • Oversee banking and general accounting tasks, such as preparing Bank Reconciliations and managing payment terminals (Moneris).
  • Assist with month-end and year-end processes, as well as participating in the annual Audit and Budgeting preparation.
  • Continuously optimize day-to-day accounting procedures, practices, reconciliations, and reporting.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the Private Club business or relevant field.
  • Proficient understanding of Canadian Accounting standards, PST, and GST.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of organization, attention to detail, and capability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Proven capacity to execute initiatives independently without administrative assistance.
  • Comprehensive proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with JONAS Club Management and GameTime online booking system is advantageous.
  • Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication style when interacting with diverse audiences and situations.
