ABOUT THE POSITION

Our Youth & Summer Camp Supervisor will be responsible for working with kids between the ages of 1 & 16. They will be building genuine connections with youth and their parents to ensure the successful operations of our Youth and Child programs, including Kid’s Corner, Friday Fun Night, Birthday Parties, Day Camps, Pro-D Day Camps, and other holiday events. Duties will also include:

 

• Supervising the Youth Staff and Camp Leaders
• Supporting the front desk and Member Services

Spring/Summer:

• Plan and organize nine (9) weeks of Day Camps which includes daily activities, lunch, snacks, weekly field trips and more
• Work with the Hockey Dept., Tennis Dept., Dance Instructors, Aquatic Supervisor, and Food & Beverage to finalize ice booking, court booking, dance times, and lunch/snacks for each day of the camps
• Manage the budget for each week, taking the above into account
• Track hours of staff for payroll
• Communicate information about camps to parents
• Develop Day Camp Binder and include: Parent-signed waivers for field trips, Daily sign-in/sign-out sheets, Any relevant allergy/medical information

 

Fall/Winter:

• Oversee operations of Kid’s Corner (schedule, supplies, themes, décor)
• Collection and processing of Childminding sign-in/sign-out sheets
• Ensure Childminding/Youth rooms are kept clean, tidy, and organized
• Oversee Friday Fun Nights
• Build and maintain schedule of Youth Staff for Kid’s Corner, Camps, and Events
• Plan and execute Pro-D Day Camps, Winter and Spring Break Camps
• Supporting Member Services and providing administrative duties

 

YOU HAVE

• General knowledge or the ability to learn the general operating systems of Jonas and Game Time
• Broad knowledge of athletic and departmental sections and facilities
• Effective planning, organizational and supervisory skills
• Attention to detail in administrative tasks
• Excellent communication skills
• Computer proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office Suite
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, works well in a team environment
• Child Care Emergency First Aid & CPR
• Previous youth management experience
• A flexible schedule, willing to work evenings and weekends
