Position Summary:

We are currently searching for enthusiastic and energetic individuals to join our team, providing swimming lessons, private instruction, and lifeguarding services at our outdoor pool from May – September 2024.

As a valuable team player committed to delivering exceptional member experiences, you bring a courteous and customer service-oriented approach to your work. Working seamlessly with a diverse group of people, you ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for our members and their guests through swimming lessons and vigilant lifeguarding.

Your strong communication skills come into play as you instruct aquatic programs for all age groups. You excel in providing safety supervision for swimmers, offering first aid when required, and meticulously monitoring pool chemistry. Keeping pool areas clean and inviting is a natural part of your responsibilities.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Lifeguarding, swim instruction, facility maintenance and emergency medical care.
• Facilitating safe community recreation through integration, inclusion and participation
• Providing excellent member and customer service
• Teaching and evaluating all age groups and all levels of swimming.

 

Requirements:

• Current Standard First Aid or Aquatic Emergency Care (AEC) and Current CPR-C.
• National Lifeguard Pool (NLP) current within two (2) years.
• I Can Swim Teacher Certification or Swim for Life Instructor Certification.
• Lifesaving Instructor (LSI) current within two (2) years considered an asset.
• Available to work a minimum of two (2) shifts per week including evenings and weekends.
