Become a member of the NSWC Officiating Team!  Join our Referee and Chief, Dylan Williams, at this beginner clinic to complete your certification.  Contact Dylan at dylan@steeltowheels.com to register.

The following three components are mandatory to be certified to official this season:

1. Online portion (Hockey University) – This will take three hours to complete and costs $25.  Aspiring referees must complete this BEFORE the clinic on October 27th.  Upon completion, there will be an additional cost of approximately $120 to complete your certification.
2.  Classroom session from 10:00am – 12:00pm to explain the knowledge and fundamentals of officiating.
3.  On-ice session from 2:30pm – 3:45pm to teach the practical positioning and application.

Once the applicant has completed the online portion and in person components, there is a slight delay (two or three weeks) before they’re added to our online assigning system called www.assignr.com.

Please note that new officials generally start officiating younger levels, such as Hockey 3 and 4.  These games primarily take place on Sundays from 8:00am until 2:00pm.  Applicants that were born prior to 2004 may start officiating in Atom C based on their performance.
