Kitchen, Ice Rink, Tennis Lighting

Dear Members,

I am pleased to announce some recent facility updates and upcoming changes happening at your Club.

Ice Rink

The ice rink project is on schedule and the large rink is ready to open on Saturday July 27th!  Major updates were done to the ice plant, sand base, brine lines, and overall rink esthetics.  We’re excited to have everyone back and skating!  The small ice is expected to reopen the week of August 5th.

We encourage you to come down to watch the Alumni game at 2pm on July 27th, and bring the family, as there will be a rink re-opening Family Skate from 4pm – 6pm.  No sticks and pucks, so full gear is not required, but everyone must wear a helmet.  There will be a BBQ and DJ on the Tiki deck from 4pm – 8pm.

Kitchen

The kitchen is making good progress.  The hoods, duct work, and fire suppression equipment are now in place and the new stainless steel has been installed in the corner of the prep area. Electrical work is roughly 90% complete to date.  There have been a few technical delays with the DNV demanding further changes; reworking of some duct work had been requested as per DNV code.  We will be fully operational soon and will continue to keep members updated on the progress.

Tennis Lighting

The new ballasts have been installed to replace the faulty units in the lower tennis courts, and a new shipment of bulbs has been delivered to replace any that have burnt out since the last maintenance in May.  Once the ice rink project is complete, the remaining bulbs will be upgraded.

Sr. Men’s Shower/Steam Room

The Sr. Men’s Shower will be closed July 27th to Aug 4th for floor tile replacement, and the Sr. Men’s Steam Room will also be closed Aug 3rd to Aug 11th for floor re-tiling.

We appreciate your patience with all of these projects as we strive to continually improve the Club’s facilities and member experience.

If you have any questions on current or upcoming projects, please don’t hesitate to contact me directly.

Thank you,

Joanna Hayes | General Manager
