The Midget Elite Files: Sam Pouliot on Afternoon Development

By Kelvin Cech

I love talking to Sam Pouliot. He speaks the way he plays the game – straight forward, simple, and effective. He’s a coach’s dream on the ice because he never makes the wrong play. As he gets older and more confident in junior hockey, he’ll continue to develop his confidence through the safe components of his game in order to take more offensive risks.

But for now, he’s a 17 year-old playing junior hockey with the BCHL’s Powell River Kings. I caught up with Sam to talk about his junior experience so far and his experience playing midget elite at NSWC two years ago.
