Dear Members,

As you are probably aware, British Columbia’s top health officials have mandated restrictions effective for a 2 week duration from 10pm Nov 7th until noon Nov 23rd. These restrictions focus on social interactions, travel, indoor group exercises and workplaces.

Businesses and recreation centres have been ordered to stop holding indoor group physical activities for two weeks, including yoga, spin, dance, and group fitness classes.

GYM: Fitness centres that cater to individuals, where physical distancing can be maintained, can remain open.  NSWC fitness centre will still remain open with limited bookings to ensure proper physical distancing can be maintained.

Indoor sports where physical distancing can’t be maintained are suspended,

MINOR HOCKEY : According to PCAHA, any games prior to 10pm today are allowed to run, however, teams may cancel if they are not comfortable going ahead with game play. Starting at 10pm tonight, all games are suspended until November 23rd at noon. Practices, programs and private lessons are allowed to continue but we must ensure physical distancing measures are in place and being followed. Open hockey is available for members but can only include same household members (as it was in phase 1).  Further details about Minor Hockey will be coming out shortly from the Hockey Faculty.

SENIOR MEN’S:  All games are cancelled until November 23rd at noon.

TENNIS: The tennis courts will remain open until further advised by Tennis BC or ViaSport.  Distancing is imperative, and singles play only is strongly suggested.  Please remember to wipe down anything you touch, before and after, and leave immediately after your match.

FOOD & BEVERAGE: The lounge and cafe will remain open. The same protocols will apply in regards to table max of 6, remaining seated at all times with no visiting other tables, social distancing and the wearing of masks at all times except when seated.

We will continue to update members as we receive more information from ViaSport, PCAHA/BC Hockey, Tennis BC and Vancouver Coastal Health.

Please remember, members need to be booked in for ALL activities at the club.  It is imperative that we work together to abide by the PHO order.  Please stay calm and remain safe.
